Where to find inspiration this Valentine's Day?
We're lucky to have a very diverse and talented Bristol makers and small business community. With markets and fairs cancelled and postponed, like many I've turned to Instagram to follow my favourite artists' latest work and discover local creatives. Scrolling through hashtags such as #BristolEtsyTeam, #Bristolmakers or #Handmadeinbristol is a great way to keep a finger on the city's creative pulse.
How to support Bristol makers?
I thought I'd share a little shout-out to some of my favourite makers ahead of this year's Valentine's Day and inspire any indecisive or unorganised shoppers with a touch of romance and some treats made in Bristol. So, whether you're celebrating Valentine's, Galantines or are just looking for an excuse to spoil someone, let's spread the love for Bristol artists and makers by liking, sharing, following and purchasing their wonderful craft. I'll update this list as I go, but here are a few to get you started.
Hand engraved glass by Jess Bartlett, The Corbeau Press.
Beard oils & balms by Bobby, Bob's Beard Oil.
Original paintings & prints by Flo Lee, Florence Lee & Co.
Ethical jewellery by Sally, My Bear Hands.
Plants and botanical craft by Beverly, Botanica Verde.
Hand poured soy candles by Charlotte, Flower Garden Candles.
Homemade cakes delivered to your door by Patsy, Paradise Cake Bristol
