This weekend, I'm lucky enough to take part in a virtual version of the brilliant Clevedon Sunday Market where you can expect to find lots of Mother's day present ideas.
Located by the Severn Estuary, the pretty town of Clevedon is one of my favourite places near Bristol. A visit to its Victorian pier is always a highlight whatever the season, and I've even created a light box with a picture of the pier I took on a glorious evening.
It is unsurprising that many local makers and artists are inspired by the coastal city and its landscape. Before the pandemic, one Sunday a month, a market packed with talented stall holders will ravish its visitors.
Among the makers and artisans, you will often find lovely original lino prints by Jenny Stuart, beautifully made jewellery by Jessica from Maybe Max Jewellery, vintage and interior goodies by Jo and Rob from Ginger & Tweed, beautiful illustrations by Fiona Clabon, yummy chutneys by Harry and Claire at Ginger Beard Preserves and beautiful soft furnishings by Rachel Edmunds at RE Textiles.
The organiser of the Clevedon Sunday Market has run several online events which have been a real success as many people are keen to support local makers and artists. Whether you're looking for inspiration for Mother's Day present ideas or to spoil a loved one for their birthday, I can assure you there'll be plenty of handmade goodness for you to choose from at the market, so I hope to see you all online this Saturday and Sunday (6-7 March)!
