I have never been a fan of bright lighting at home, and always preferred having lots of little lamps doted around rooms. One day, I just thought it would be nice if my framed pictures could be gently illuminated at night from within their frames.
Once the idea was in my head, I got a bit obsessed with it, and scoured the internet for the best LED lighting system and drove my printer crazy with loads of questions about the different photo paper options I could use.
In parallel, I set myself into build a handmade shadow box by watching YouTube videos by framers from around the world and was showed infinite patience by some ladies from the B & Q team who helped me pick all the tools and material necessary. Needless to say the result was a bit wonky...
Playing around with different LED levels and colours I finally nailed it.
Armed with the first box I had built in and the right lighting system, I was delighted when switching the light on, it looked like my picture was coming to life, a bit like 3D effect!
So there we have it, I had put Bristol in a Box :)
